Kill The Gloomy Vibe

What’s with the gloomy weather lately? We are already in the month of August but it seems we will continue experiencing the overcast days for slightly longer. Today I am going to talk about must have essentials that will ensure you kill the dull vibe and still look glam. The whole idea is not to freeze and shine but if you can pull that good for you…….

Trench Coats.
These are timeless classics. They are not only stylish but play the role of ensuring that you are warm while still maintaining a polished look. (Always reminds me of Olivia Pope) They come in different colors,textures and designs. For starters I advise you opt for darker tones because they can practically be worn with any outfit. Layer it with short dresses, skirts or even pants and you are ready to hit the road.

Sweater Dresses
I love the fact that they are designed in such a way that they can stretch and fit like a glove complementing your silhouette. These stylish gems can be worn with boots or comfy converse. You necessarily don’t need to layer them with anything else especially if they are long sleeved.


Scarfs
These staples are a must have in this grey weather. They not only accessorize your outfit but also keep you warm. Opt for scarfs with a splash of bright colors to add some oomph to your outfit.

Turtlenecks.
They come in various colors,prints and textures.I appreciate the fact that you can pull them off without layering them with jackets or sweaters. They elongate your torso giving an illusion of a slim waist. (Mention a lady who doesn’t want this) . You are assured of staying warm and looking edgy at the same time. I believe every lady should own a few turtlenecks in various colors. Tuck it in a skirt to work or wear it with pants and the dull moments are over for you.


Boots.
My oh my don’t I love boots. They have a way of oozing sophistication without losing classic flair. Look edgy and stylish by rocking them with short or long dresses , skirts or even pants. Boots vary in design, from ankle boots to long boots and they also come in different colors.

Sweaters
Sweaters are the ideal gloom fighters for this grey weather. Our mums can swear by this and I couldn’t agree more. You can literally wear sweaters with almost anything. I will soon do a post featuring different types of sweaters and how to rock them.
