Happy new year folks……16 days since we stepped into the year and I’m excited to be back. I am back with extra kilograms… as you can see clearly from the photos, I have been ravenous over the holidays …… working on that though (#missiongetmywaistback)….
So I realized that most of my outfits have become a bit too snug and others aren’t fitting at all. I know you can relate as well. The holidays were about indulging in junk and irresistible mouthwatering delicacies. Today I will be giving you some tips on how you can dress to create an illusion of a petite body even after you have gained extra pounds. As you embark on a plan to lose the extra pounds, you still got to look awesome, right? Thank me later.
1.Avoid tucking your top or blouse :
Tucking a blouse in pants or a skirt when you have added weight creates lumps and bumps exposing excess stomach fat and love handles. The whole idea is to hide them from the human race. The sight is not appealing trust me. Untuck the blouse and probably add a belt to create an illusion of a smaller waist. It’s all about faking it for now and looking our best even after we have added extra pounds.
2.Go for monochrome outfits:
You bet to agree with me that monochrome outfits have this cool slimming effect. Especially black colored outfits if worn in perfect fit will make you look slender. However, you can always accessorize with a pop of color to break the monotony of a single color.
3.Choose vertically striped outfits:
This explains my choice of outfit today. Vertically stripped dresses, skirts, shirts, pants not only elongate your physique but also makes you look petite. They also help shift attention from your bulging insecurity areas e.g. tummy. Keep away from horizontally striped outfits as they give an impression of a rotund physique.
4.Select perfect fitting clothes:
Over-sized clothes will only make you look exaggerated and puffier. Snug outfits on the other hand, will highlight your problem areas and you won’t look appealing at all. Select tops that are slightly below your curves to drive unnecessary attention away from your hips. You can opt for custom tailored clothes to ensure a perfect fit. It’s crucial to know your body type and invest in clothes that flatter your body.
5.Art of layering:
The moment you discover this trick you will be one riant person. When I talk layering I don’t mean covering yourself with piles of clothes making you look bulky and clumsy. Layer your outfit with a waterfall, a long shirt, long sweaters or even a kimono. This will elevate your style a notch higher, make you look tall and slender and also hide your bulging areas like the stomach and curves.
